ANGELS and BANDITS

A gritty story with engaging characters to remember that is set during The Battle of Britain

Eddy Beane was raised in France, but is living and working in London when a chance meeting with the great Commander Keith Park takes him into the skies. Eddy becomes a flying instructor, and completes dangerous missions for Park to expose the Nazis’ clandestine build-up of its Luftwaffe. Eddy passes on his passion for flying to his student June Stephenson and, when romance sparks, must learn to deal with June’s wealthy parents and her privileged, Cambridge-educated ex-fiancé, Dudley Thane.

A Passion for Flying Leads to Comrades in Arms

Germany invades France, and Eddy and Dudley find themselves assigned to the same Spitfire squadron in Park’s 11 Group. Dudley’s jabs and jealousies nearly bring them to blows, but the Luftwaffe’s unrelenting attacks force them to put aside petty animosities. They both prove their mettle with aerial combat skills and fate forces them to see each other in a new light. When the Squadron must face a massive German bombing raid on London, can they become fighting brothers for the defence of Britain—and to stay alive?
